Thanks for a Successful Show!

Thank you to all of you that joined us at America's Largest Antique and Collectible show at the Portland Expo this last weekend.  You helped make it our most successful show ever!  If you missed the show, don't worry, there's another one in October.  You can also shop with us twenty-four hours a day online, visit our store in NW Portland, or attend one of our upcoming Estate Sales (the next one is in August).  Here's a few photos of our booth at the Antique & Collectible show.

 

Visit Us at America's Largest Antique & Collectible Show July 14th & 15th

This is it.  The jackpot, mother lode, holy grail, or sweet spot; call it what you like.  For those who adore antiques and vintage treasures it is simply, "America's Largest Antique & Collectible Show".

It's also where you will find us this weekend Saturday, July 14th & Sunday, July 15th.  We'll be at booth D34 & D35 with a wonderful assortment of Tiffany sterling silver, Baccarat as well as Steuben glass, stunning vintage jewelry, Waterford crystal, fine art, bronze by Chiparus, Lanceray and Remington, home furnishings, and so much more.  Whether you are an antique expert or a casual collector, we think you'll find something you love.  Gary will be at the Appraisal Booth doing verbal appraisals for $5 (normally a $30 at our Estate Gallery in NW Portland); proceeds go to charity.

Due to our participaton at the show our NW Portland Estate Gallery will be closed until Wednesday, July 18th.  See you then.

Save the Date! First Annual Warehouse Sale June 29th & 30th

Our warehouse is bursting at the seams and we need to make some room! We're clearing out the clutter and marking everything with GARAGE SALE PRICES for Gary Germer & Associates First Annual Warehouse sale.  We'll be featuring: retro furniture, picture frames, art, decorations, household furnishings, rugs, quirky weird things, random odds & ends and MORE!  This is your chance to get really great stuff at really amazing prices.  Please note that this is NOT an estate sale.  Our Warehouse Sale will take place at a private residence in NW Vancouver, WA.  We can't tell you the address just yet but mark your calendar and we'll let you know very soon.  If you follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook we'll announce the address to you first, before anyone else.  Also, check out Facebook for "sneak peek photos" of some items we'll be selling.  

 

UPDATE 6/25/12: There will NOT be any sign-up list for this event because it is not a "regular" Estate Sale. It a clearance sale open to EVERYONE. All are welcome! Our hours will be 9-5 on both days. There will not be an early entry to this sale. We hope to see you there!

We’ve been hard at work here at the Gary Germer & Associates headquarters.  We hinted that we had some exciting news to share and the time has come let you in on the secret…

Gary Germer & Associates Estate Gallery has received a makeover! 

Our new Estate Gallery has nearly doubled in size, which will accommodate more fine art displayed on our new walls, antique treasures in our showcase displays, as well a greatly expanded jewelry collection cultivated by world-renowned jewelry aficionado Sol Varon.

Sol Varon owned and operated Oregon Antique Jewelry on 3^rd and Alder, in Portland, OR for over 26 years.  Sol was the first person, in the Portland area, to have a business devoted soley to fine antique jewelry.  He was known for impeccable customer relations, often anticipating his clients’ needs and setting aside the perfect gift in advance.  Sol currently resides in Tel Aviv Israel but returns to Portland several times a year to run his business, which is now located at our Estate Gallery shop!  Sol is a legend in the jewelry world and we are pleased to partner with him in bringing you an amazing collection of antique jewelry. 

We’ve also expanded our hours of operation at the Estate Gallery, allowing more time for you to shop our frequently changing collections.  Although we are still putting on the finishing touches, we’ll have a soft opening of our shop in the coming weeks.  If you’re in the neighborhood please stop by and say hello!  Our GRAND REOPENING will coincide with the Pearl Districts First Thursday on June 7^th.  More details of this not-to-be-missed event are coming soon.

We are about a month away from a major announcement. We cannot wait to let you in on the exciting news, but you'll have to wait for now. BIG changes are afoot around here...

America's Largest Antique & Collectible Show This Weekend!!!

	Join Gary Germer & Associates at the largest indoor collector show in the U.S., the PalmerWirfs Portland Expo Antique & Collectable Show, which returns this March 3rd & 4th to the Portland Expo.  Do you have an item that you’ve always wondered if it’s a “gem or just junk”? Gary Germer, Portland’s antique expert, will be on hand to verbally evaluate your items for just $5 each (this service usually costs $30 at our NW gallery and office).  All proceeds go to the Portland Police’s Food Bank, The Sunshine Division.  Or perhaps you’re looking for that special piece to add to your collection.  During this event, our booth will feature a 19th century antique, hand carved Chinese alter table inset with jade, a very large cloisonne model of a horse and chariot, a late 19th century German art deco hand carved bowl set, fine studio art pottery by Peter Voulkos and Antonio Prieto in addition to production art pottery by Teco, Roseville and Rookwood. Plus new jewelry, bronzes and art never shown before.  We look forward to seeing you and your treasures there! Hours: Saturday 9-6 Sunday 10-5 Admission: $7.00
